Oil production in the United States!

  Recently, I was driving through Kansas and Okalahoma. Only about 15% of the wells I drove by were operating. Does that seem a little strange to anyone other then me? On the same trip while I was driving through the thousands of acres of “Flint hills”, which is owned by a well known Oil mogul in many parts of this country. The oil refined comes fro Canada well, a big share of it anyway. I know that one of the refineries that is owned by this company, of the approximately 360K barrels they are capable of refining they very seldom produce more the 260K per day. Now I know I am not a nuclear scientist but if he alone produced to capacity wouldn’t that bring down the cost of fuel and the need for foreign oil? Don’t you just think it’s a matter of the “BIG OIL” companies wanting to drive prices up? I DO!

   I just do not understand why the Government and the Media insist on putting the high cost of fuel on foreign oil when our country is right now capable of producing all the oil and fuel we need without additional drilling!
